How to Streamline your ASO Strategy with ChatGPT

In today’s market, where there are millions of apps competing for users’ attention, it’s essential to have a solid ASO strategy in place to make your app or game stand out from the crowd. After all, what good is a great app if no one can find it?

So with this in mind, I decided to test out ways in which we can use AI tools to streamline different ASO activities.

Let’s say that want to create new app store screenshots. And I always start, when I’m tasked to do so, with the question: what do people love about the app or game, in particular?

As we are working on Clash Royale right now I decided to use it for this example.

So, we now see that ChatGPT knows something about Clash Royale, and it knows what people like about it. We can use this information to create punchy headlines for the screenshots, each with a maximum of five words (the shorter the better).

Most of these are solid and fit the game really well. But how about adding a bit more emotion to them?

This new package already has much more power in my eyes.

I particularly love “Fight for the Crown” because the crowns show how much damage you did to your opponent, or “Join the Royale Revolution”. That’s pretty cool.

When I asked ChatGPT what Instabridge was, it gave me a funny answer because it couldn’t access the Google Play Store. However, it tells me that there are many apps available on the market that can help users connect to Wi-Fi networks, and Instabridge is one of them. So, it actually does know what Instabridge is, which is a good start.

I then provided ChatGPT with a list of keywords (pulled from AppTweak) with their search popularity and asked the tool to come up with a few app store subtitles.

Here’s what it came up with using that input:

Again, doing this task manually would take quite a bit of time and effort, but AI tools can be implemented to make managers’ life easier. This is where I believe tools such as AppTweak or AppFollow should head in the future, to make this process fully automated. I am absolutely convinced that this will lead to better results and more frequent metadata updates.
