How to make Samosa Easily at home

Samosa is evening snack item which is famous all over in India. Samosa are the best at the tea time. Samosa is all time favourite for children’s and people in all age. Hot samosas served with tomato ketchup or tamarind mint sauce which his very tasty.

Samosa prepared with different varieties of stuffing’s, the stuffing inside the samosa is made with any type of vegetables as per their taste. In my house I prepare samosa with potato and green peas stuffing which is very favourite for my children’s. When I make samosas I add grated vegetables into the stuffing, in this way we can easily make children to have vegetables.

Let’s learn how to make crispy samosas at home easily, you can make variations in the stuffing as per your taste preference.

Samosa Ingredients:

For the outer layer

Maida — 1 cup

Ghee — 1 table spoon

Jeera — ½ table spoon

Salt to taste

Water — As needed

For filling

Potatoes — 2 big (Boiled and mashed)

Onion — 1 (Chopped finely)

Jeera seeds — ½ table spoon

Green chilies — 3(Chopped finely)

Ginger — ½ table spoon (Grated finely)

Coriander leaves — 2 table spoons (Chopped finely)

Lemon juice — 1 table spoon

Curry leaves — Few leafs (Chopped finely)

Red chili powder — 1 table spoon

Turmeric powder — ½ table spoon

Garam masala — ½ table spoon

Methi leaf crushed — ½ table spoon

Salt — To taste

Oil — To deep fry

Preparation:

To make outer layer:

Step: 1 Take a bowl add maida, warm ghee, jeera seeds and salt to the Maida and mix all the ingredients well. (Butter can be added to make the dough to make it tastier and soft layer)

Step:2 Add water to the mixed ingredients and make it as soft dough as like chapatti dough.
