Spiritual transformation through love in Little Women

An updated version of one of the podcast episodes. Louisa May Alcott has a special narrative that she repeats in many of her novels. It´s a common motif, especially in Little Women. The idea is that a person spiritually transfers and gains better self-understanding, happiness and motivation when they move on from one (love) interest to another.

The first love interest does the opposite, pulls the person back into self-destructing habits, and the other love interest brings harmony.

This happens to Jo when she moves on from Laurie to Friedrich.

This happens to Laurie when he moves on from Jo to Amy.

This happens to Tommy in Jo´s boys when he moves from Nan to Dora.
