Do NFTs have any use cases?

While some NFTs do certainly seem like crazy, expensive, digital art, there’s definetly a use case to them which I’ll show you today.

Let’s say Ferrari gave people an NFT when buying their cars. That way you’d have absolute closure when buying a second-hand Ferrari, that you have a real one since it’s authorized by an NFT.

Because NFT’s are built on blockhains, they can’t be changed and you will no longer have to deal with checking Sneakers, clothing, phones, cars, … whether they are actually real.

Instead of the current hassle with documents, you could assign an NFT to each house in the world, thus transferring a house to another owner would be as simple as sending the NFT over to them.

For those who aren’t especially familiar with gaming, currently, most games offer cosmetics, these will help you in no way to get better results, they just look nice. They range from different Skins, to maybe a decal on your guns or a exclusive Livery on your car.

Depending on their rarity, these can be very expensive. Specific fortnite skins for example, get sold for +1000 Dollars. This total market is worth a whopping 40 Billion Dollars

Here comes the problem however, most games don’t allow trading between players. This means that your once bought items are now effectively stuck. The only possible solution is to sell your account through a third party website, but these are most often expensive, dangerous & don’t allow you to sell specific skins, only the whole account. This means that if you’re playing Fortnite for example and you have this 1 specific skin which you’d like to sell, you immediatly have to sell all of your account and all the other skins, on top of having all your in-game progress getting reset.

This is where NFTs come in place. By using NFTs, you could effectively sell and buy any item, at any time and without selling your complete account. You would be completely free in your transactions.
