How To Make Passive Income Selling Your Products with Buy Me A Coffee Extras

Writing droughts are common with freelance writing. For me, it is the worse part of freelance writing because of the unknown and the sometimes frantic searching for more projects starts. Creating a passive income will eliminate the hardship with writing online.

That’s why I’m starting a new venture in my business; creating and selling printable downloads. I’ve been working all week on my new website, focusing on building this new blog centered around certain topics, with the sellable digital prints to support that.

I didn’t want to spend a lot of money on a hosting plan, so I decided to use Blogger to host my domain name, which I bought for $0.99. I wanted to see if I could make a profitable website on Blogger for selling digital products.

Buy Me A Coffee allows creators to monetize their craft with supporters who can ‘buy you a coffee or another emblem. I have it set up for people to be able to buy me a book. Another feature I discovered is the option to add extras.

These extras are paid options for people to purchase from you. For example, I saw a writer who offered to coach aspiring writers. I’m listing my printables on my page. So far, I have two live. One is a self-care printable and the other is a digital quote art decor.

Other sites like Etsy and Shopify are marketplaces that many people sell their printables. However, I wanted to keep the costs as low as possible and sell through my own website.

Buy Me A Coffee doesn’t charge anything until you are paid by one of your supporters. According to their website, they allow creators to keep 95% of what they make, taking 5% per transaction. This takes away any upfront money, which I am very happy about.
