My Favorite Podcasts to Heal Yourself

Earlier today a client requested a list of podcasts that she could listen to to help her understand her anxiety and trauma. This is not an unusual request — many people are interested in learning more about the symptoms that are causing most of their pain and suffering. They are also increasingly becoming fed up with going to their healthcare providers and continuing to suffer. There is so much information available, it can be completely overwhelming when you are facing tough mental health challenges.

I have most certainly been there and so have many other mental health professionals. We often go into this field to make a difference after difficult life circumstances in order to serve others and to help them over come their challenges.

When I reached a point where I thought that traditional psychotherapy was not enough — podcasts certainly became an important part of my education.

I am not a full blown science person. I’m highly intuitive but we are living in a time when science and spirituality (yoga/meditation) are coming together. Podcasts that interview professionals who have broken free of conventional medicine can be an important part of your personal development process. Staying grounded in science, however, can make the information easier to digest.
