To Cancel Or Not To Cancel

Falsehoods and bad behavior must be canceled to make room for robust debate

There seems to be some confusion about what is known as “cancel culture.”

Virtually every time a person’s ideas or words are shot down, someone from the other side yells “stop canceling me.” People run to Facebook and Twitter to decry the atmosphere where anyone with a different opinion gets pummeled into oblivion if they don’t agree with this or that viewpoint.

I agree with Bernstein in principle, but here’s where it can get dangerous.
